What is an affiliate link?

Affiliate commissions are one of the ways we keep Hespere free to read and free of advertising. They allow us to continue producing independent, in-depth skincare and beauty content without charging our readers.

How we choose what to recommend

We only recommend products we genuinely believe are good. Our editorial process works like this:

• Products are selected based on ingredients, formulation, value for money, and suitability for the skin concern being discussed
• Whether or not a product has an affiliate programme has no bearing on whether it is included in our recommendations
• We do not accept payment from brands to feature their products in editorial content
• Sponsored content, when it exists, is always clearly labelled as such
